Our mission at The River is to be a place where you can Belong, Believe, and Become. First, when you show up at our door, we will accept you. No matter your history, thoughts, appearance, beliefs, personality, mood, struggles – you Belong here.
Then, we want to provide you with our best explanation and experience of God and His character. When you encounter Him, He will accept you and then He will teach you and shape what you Believe about Him. We want to be a megaphone for His voice, sharing what we’ve learned from Him with anyone who will listen.
Finally, if and when you become a Christ-follower, He won’t want to change who you are – He made you. He wants to make you more fully and freely who you already are and were made to be. He cares about who and how you Become. For the remainder of 2011, we will walk a path of becoming.
