I was born into a family of ten. Mom and Dad. Seven brothers and sisters. And me. When I was two months old, I was adopted into a family of eight. Mom and dad. Three brothers. Two sisters. And me. My entire life I have known the value of living in rich community. Either because of my doggie family or hooman family – my life has been tremendous.

What’s true for dogs is true for you. You too were made for community. If I was teaching your obedience class, I would give you this homework:

Be sure to spend time with friends this week. Do not let the business of life isolate you. Don’t let the days struggles leave you alone. You need people (and dogs).
